The INFORM Church

The INFORM Church was developed for Historic Scotland to provide an interactive way for Church owners to gain the knowledge they need to maintain and repair their property.

Taking content from existing printed Historic Scotland guides, Junction-18 developed an immersive 3D environment, allowing the user to explore the building’s exterior and interior. Through hotspot interaction or topic searching the user can access a series of INFORM guides on topics ranging from monumental bronze through to slate roofing.

The INFORM Church installs on a users computer with ease, and features benefits such as automated configuration leveling to maximise the experience on both low and high end machines, and an online update function that will allow additional content to be added via a web connection as future guides are released. The product is available from Historic Scotland on CD-ROM.
